About Me: Bio

My name is Casey Smerczynski and I graduated from Dartmouth College in 2020. I studied Studio Art, Film, and Geography there and have many projects in production to this day. I previously dedicated any of my time outside of school to playing for the Division I Dartmouth Women's Rugby team and being a regular cartoonist for "The Dartmouth" newspaper.

After graduating I published a children's book with Kindle, and worked for Amazon for almost a year. I left to pursue film and acting opportunities in California, then came back to the East Coast after wrapping a pilot in May 2021.

I went on to work as an actor and PA for Discovery+, HBO, and Warner Bros, and Disney before working in NYC for a few months as a Broadway costume design assistant and freelance illustrator and film editor. Last year I enlisted in the United States Army as a Combat Medic, graduated this past May, and started my duel-career in the Army Reserves and at Harvard University's Brattle Square Studios.

In my free time, I am illustrating a children's book about young athletes' perspectives and experiences of growing through sports as female.

I find the most joy in making anything with friends, writing, acting, drawing, comic books, being outdoors, and helping others.
